QUIZ Let's see how you have done in the quiz! The two significant respects in which Legge Lane differs from the streets we met earlier are: 1. The earlier streets were Christian-named (after members of the Colmore family - George, Caroline, Graham etc), whereas Legge Lane is surnamed. 2. The earlier streets were straight and laid out on a grid pattern, whereas Legge Lane is very winding. It is reasonable to assume from the fact that the practices of both naming and laying out the streets have changed that we have now left the Colmore estate, and this is indeed the case - Mr Legge owned the land round here. If you got it completely right, 1000 points. If you were on the right lines, 900 points. You had a go, but got it hopelessly wrong, 800 points for trying. You didn't even try? Shame on you! MINUS 1000 points!
